In order to help broaden my skill set beyond animal/nature photography, I have embarked upon a photo project known as “100 Strangers,” which is a group project on the photo site Flickr. The challenge is to approach 100 complete strangers, ask for permission to take their portrait and post it – and in the process get to know a little bit about them. The group’s motto is “learning by doing.” Completing 100 portraits can take years, but some of the group members just keep going for their second and third 100! Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers group page on Flickr.
If I photographed you, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org so I can email you your pictures.
Clicking on a picture will take you to my blog post with the story behind the encounter.
